CUBE Elite HPC 2011 Goergous And Super Fast Range
CUBE Elite HPC 2011 range is three of the Cube’s top quality cross-country race-ready bikes. It uses the SHPC (Super High Performance Composite) Advanced Twin Mold Monocoque Technology on its carbon frame with a precision layering process that uses more carbon and less resin. The Elite HPC range also features integrated post mounts for better breaking absorption frame save system, wet paint surface finish, ready for race geometry for the speed junkie whippets. All Elite HPC frames have integrated cable routings to keep the frame looking super tidy and also this protects the cables from outside elements. The press-fit BB30 gives improved lateral stiffness and saves weight. The tapered steerer tube is making the front end more rigid and secure.
There are three models available to suit your budget. So if you are competing or just love to zoom of road very fast this might be just the right choice for you. Ready to blast straight out the box. Top end quality frames and kit for more then reasonable prices (relative to competition – you will be 10-15% more for ‘big’ names like Specialized, Scott or Giant) and great looks – that is Cube Elite HPC range for 2011.
Elite HPC SL
Stealthy black line look, full Shimano XTR transmission 3×10(2×10), carbon Easton E90 hoops, FOX Terra Logic Tapered fork, XTR brakes (btw. the finest Shimano have produced:) Syntace/Fizik finishing kit and Schwalbe rubber – it simply can’t get any better! Yes, this is the Cube mountain bike made in heaven. Weight ridiculous 8.9kg (19lb) and RRP ‘only’ £3999. There is a model 2-speed XTR chainset model available, this 400g overall weight will cost you £800 – oops 
Elite HPC Pro
This bike is a super lightweight carbon hardtail for races and fast marathons. Comes in subtle but still colourful carbon/blue finish. Equipped with Shimano XT groupset, Formula RX stoppers, RS Sid RLT fork and DT Swiss XPW1600 custom colour wheelset, makes this ride very, very reasonable choice for someone who just want to race. Weight 10.5kg (23lb) – RRP £2199.
Elite HPC Race
Ready to rumble. High tech frame with top level components for races, marathons and hard rides plus it’s funky look shouts loud. High spec includes Sram XO groupset, FOX 32 Fit fork with remote lockout, custom colour Formula R1 Mag brakes, DT Swiss wheels and Syntace/ Fizik carbon finishing kit -all colour coordinated. It’s fast, it’s bright, it’s the Elite HPC Race! Weight 9.6kg (21lb) RRP £2899.
The Cube ELITE HPC Frame Technology explained:
HPC Super: Models bearing the SUPER HPC logo are our top-quality products. From many years of experience in the HPC field new optimisation know-how is generated time and time again, which is then implemented in the SUPER HPC models. Numerous details of this line are refined and optimised and the limits of what is feasible are pushed ever higher and higher. For this exclusively high-quality carbon fibres and matrices are used. In addition the ADVANCED TWIN MOLD process is used exclusively in order to minimise manufacturing tolerances and to avoid superfluous use of material.
Press Fit BB: With press-fit bearings, the outer bearing ring is pressed directly into the frame housing and not screwed-in as usual. With its wider housing, the down tube and the chain stays are joined with the full width. Because the width of the housing is a parameter in calculating the stiffness, every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement of lateral stiffness, whilst retaining the comfort-bringing resilience of the chain stays.
Advanced Twin Mold: Folds are prevented to curl up even during the baking session in a continuous control procedure. With this procedure, it is possible to increase the carbon content (and use less matrix resin). The result is similar stability at lower weight. Positive side-effect of this method: optically perfect layering.
Tapered Steerer: This new steering tube design is more rigid and generates a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Due to the direct power transmission the greatest possible steering precision is generated. With the larger fork shaft the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integral. On CUBE carbon models the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved.
Integrated Post Mount: The Postmount breaking absorption makes it possible for us to save extra parts. The not needed IS adapter with bolts saves approx. 30 g. This may not seem much, but it shows the potential comprised in the details.
Integrated Cable Routing: Internally routed cables offer many advantages: clean appearance, cables are protected from dirt and therefore have a considerably longer life and the not required external housing saves weight.
Wet Paint Surface: On polished and brushed aluminium and all HPC frames the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.
Ready for Race Geometry: Our bicycles with RFR-geometry stand out by their sports character. The riding characteristics, rider comfort and rider safety in particular are taken in account for each individual bike category. Frame Save System: To protect our high-end aluminium frames, they are built with the CUBE bikes.
