Blacks mug MLK's legacy... again?
As if they were giving a gift to anti-affirmative action, Blacks are mounting a legacy on equality again. There was an open contest to design the new MLK momument, to be placed near the Lincoln Monument in Washington DC. (Don't get me started on this travesty). The submissions were judged without racial prejudice or bias... and a Chinese sculptor won.
Now blacks are demanding that a black sculptor be given the contract for the monument. MLK asked that all men--black, white, latin, asian, middle eastern--be judged on the content of their character. Not surprisingly, a non-black was judged to have created the sculpture which best captured his message. And blacks, again losing in a fair competition, begin asking for special treatment.
Hey, maybe Micheal Vick can design the statue while he's in prison.
There it is. Shouldn't someone fighting for equal rights be just as concerned for other races as his own?
MLK's dream is dead. Trampled to death by a greedy few.
