What Kind and type of wood do you suggest to make sculpting and statuery for profesional job?
I'm trying to make a Sculpture with top quality for a museum so I should use the best wood to make it....Some friend said Beech Wood,,,some friend said Walnut Wood and some said it's good to use Mahogany Wood.
What do you suggest for such a job?
hey keyvan...... beech and oak are a no no for carving.... too difficult to work....... in my experience.... mahogany,lime or any kind of fruitwood,cherry,pear or walnut are best.......... also elm is nice but hard to get.......once again stay away from beech....... good luck.....
