What can I feed my flowerhorn so it will really be healthy?
Bought it in Feb. around 6 in. and it is now 13 in. Can I help intensify the red and yellow color by feeding it properly. I give him (MYF, stands for My Friend) 2 teaspoons of ordinary generic flower horn pellets for enhancing humps.
FLOWERHORN FISH
Tips for making its hump grow bigger:
Firstly,don't stress the fish too often as sudden change of environment would make the fish fell very stress and therefore this condition will affect the normal mechanisms of their body functions as well as fish head development.
Secondly,always maintain water condition as well as water environment and important always provide enough swimming space for the fish and don't forget to included some decoration as the flower horn is very active and has territory characteristic.
Thirdly,provided the fish with balance nutrition such as super red dry tablet food (recommended) with high protein content to enhance the growth of the head in this type of fish and make it look beautiful or you can also mix the food to make it a balance
Tips for enhancing its body colouration:

And once in while you can feed it with vitamins supplement to enhance it growth and body colouration.
And yes you can feed flowerhorn with prawn you bought from market .First you peel of the shell of the prawn you bought and cut it into small pieces according to the size of the mouth of your flowerhorn fish.
Lastly , always have fun and enjoy the great moment with your fish as what i do because fish have feeling to.
