Fix broken glass sculpture? HELP!!?
Is there anywhere I could get a glass sculpture fixed at? Superglue didnt work, haha. I have a glass fish and one fin broke off, its one piece its not shattered but since its such a clean break the surfaces dont want to stick back together.... could a glass shop type place be able to fix it?? I live in Michigan, near MSU also if anyone knows of anywhere I could get it fixed..... Any other ideas? Thanks so much!!
If you go to a hardware store, in the adhesives you should be able to find a tiny tube of UV curing glass adhesive - most commonly from Loctite. It is thin and watery and you will only need a drop or two. It is cured by exposing it to UV and the cheapest way to do that is to take/put it out in the sun. Because it takes a few minutes to cure, a bit of masking tape instead of trying to hold it steady with your finger might be a good idea.
